350 Cermak- Trading Firm- Cage Build (Chicago)
MDI constructed a new data center cage that consisted of the following:
Power: MDI installed the conduits and wiring for three remote PDU units. Each unit was dual fed from two independent sources for redundancy. Over 100+ branch circuits were installed in A/B method to the cabinets. Tile cut outs were provided under each cabinet for power and data access. MDI performed torque settings for the two existing PDU’s per manufactures specifications. We provided grounding details at bottom of ladder rack above the cabinets and racks. Connected all ground points as required.
Low Voltage Installation: MDI provided the installation of 18” ladder rack on an existing 5x5 grid. A 4x4 fiber duct system was used under the ladder rack. Spillovers were installed at each cabinet. The project required us to receive and set and level all cabinets into place, provide patching racks and vertical wire minders at each end. Two armored fiber risers were installed from the meet me room to the cage area. We provided all termination and testing of cables. Certified the fiber with the Fluke DTX cable analyzer. This work included customer patching of over 300 cables.
Detailed As-built 3D Revit & Auto Cad documentation was provided to the customer along with a one year parts and labor warranty.
