MDI Electric was contracted to design/build a solo facility of approximately of 3,000 square feet. We designed a specification book that included the power, cooling, fiber, copper, grounding, racking, and IT equipment. We tailored the designs through coordination with set standards of the data center management and our customer.
The project design included, meeting the equipment requirements to the space, power and cooling allotted in the customers lease. With these parameters we created drawings, air flow diagnostics, power distribution for/and inside the cabinets, cabling needs for the copper and fiber plants, cross connect management, deployment schedules and permit process.
The final product includes structured cabling, power distribution, cable certification, manufacturer’s warranties, access control, environmental monitoring, material and equipment inventory, equipment placement, startup, and as-built drawings.
